Biography

A three-time Olympic medalist, who captured double gold in Barcelona 1992, Mel Stewart, is the greatest 200m butterfly swimmer of his era. He won 14National Championship titles in one event- more than any other male swimmer in history.

Mel evolved from one of the top swimmers in the sport to its most recognizable personality. Known as ‘Gold Medal Mel’, he showcases the dynamic personalities of our sport’s stars and uses his video
production skills to cover the sport of swimming to create one-of-a-kind feature stories.
