Biography

Chicago Born Jesse Beckom is training full time for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games, a luxury he did not have in 2006. Missing a potential spot on the 2006 U.S. Olympic Team due financial means and time constraints from his job, Jesse now has his eyes set on Vancouver. In 2009, Jesse earned a silver medal at the U.S. National Championships with driver John Napier.

Having played football in high school and college, Jesse did not think that his path would lead him to bobsled. Back in the fall of 2000, while pursuing his Masters Degree at Iowa State, he was introduced to the sport by his former collegiate football coach and ended up earning his place onto the U.S Bobsled Team.
